😃 The Experience

During my internship, I was fortunate enough to work with a team of talented, friendly, and supportive individuals. Together, we embarked on an exciting project to create a minimum viable product (MVP) for a new feature that was based on data.

My role involved collaborating closely with the product manager and product designer to lay the foundations for this project. This included engaging in stakeholder discussions, understanding the problem's impact, conducting on-site research with our user groups to identify any gaps and root causes, designing wireframes for rapid feedback, transforming these into mockups, and pitching the MVP to stakeholders.

In addition to my primary project, I also contributed to a range of mini-projects and tasks throughout my internship. These responsibilities encompassed a variety of areas, such as drafting UX copies, conducting a comprehensive audit of the existing user experience, collaborating with the team to solve complex edge cases, performing competitive analysis, designing detailed mockups, and engaging in productive discussions with my colleagues.

✨ Communication is the fuel that helps you to get started and move forward. As a designer, I have always thought designing was all about research and pixels but here comes the twist, without communication, you can’t progress. I had no idea about domain, jargons used internally, our users, and projects. From the start to the end of my internship, I made sure to ask questions and doubts. I’m glad that through communication, I made the most of my internship.

🤝 Show the Design often! Getting feedback early and often on your designs from your team, and stakeholders is important and helps you to build the product in right direction and the potential areas to improve the design. and It also makes you progress faster.

I had the pleasure of working and mentoring GuruDatta when he was interning with Pine Labs and I highly recommend him. Right from the start he has shown a keen interest to learn new things. He is a keen observer and absorbs every detail of a brief provided before coming up with the design flow.

He is a reliable and curious and this is a great mix of personality traits for any organisation. He will do an extraordinary job wherever he goes.
